Superior Epoxy Coatings diamond grinds concrete before we coat it in Selma and San Antonio. Grinding works like sanding wood before you paint it. It takes off the worn top layer and opens up the pores of the concrete, so the coating has more to grab.
Acid etching uses muriatic acid to rough up the concrete, and it weakens the top layer of the slab. Grinding gets a better result, so we grind.

Adam and Superior Epoxy Coatings did an amazing job on our elevated porch. The surface needed to be leveled, and Adam was able to completely transform it with a custom tile-look finish that looks fantastic. The difference between the before and after is unbelievable. What was once a plain, uneven porch now looks like a high-end tiled space and instantly upgraded the entire back of our house. Adam was easy to work with, communicated throughout the project, and clearly cares about the quality of his work. The attention to detail in the grout lines and finish really makes the floor stand out.
